Katipō Spider

Did you know that the endangered Katipō (red back) spider is New Zealand's only venomous native spider? But good news! Unlike some well-known Australian species, the Katipō is very shy and not at all aggressive. It still wouldn't make a great pet, but this is the next best thing.
