Kererū Soft Toy Finger Puppet
Kererū Soft Toy Finger Puppet
This cute soft toy version of New Zealand’s native kererū has a hole underneath which allows it to also be used as a finger puppet.
Kererū can measure up to 51 cm from tail to beak, and weigh about 650 grams. An important seed disperser, the kererū is one of the only bird species that are big enough to swallow large fruit, such as those of karaka, miro, tawa and taraire, and disperse the seed over long distances. The disappearance of these birds could be a disaster for the regeneration of our native forests.
- Measures approximately 14cm tall
