Pepper Raccoon Eel Cycle Tee
Pepper Raccoon Eel Cycle Tee
Eels are weird. Really weird. Like so weird, we still don't know exactly where they spawn. So weird that after hatching, they turn into clear, leaf-shaped leptocephali and float around the ocean for a few YEARS. Then, somehow, longfin eels know how to get back to the freshwater that their parents came from in Aotearoa. Oh, and they can live for 100+ years. No biggie.
Pepper Raccoon has celebrated these slippery enigmas by drawing the lifestages of the longfin eel, also known as Tuna kūwharuwharu, from egg to leptocephalus, to glass eel, through to adulthood, represented in a harmonious cycle.
